HDMI port 4K at 60Hz indicates it is HDMI 1.4 capable of running 4K at 60Hz with color sampling of 4:2:0. Make sure the HDMI port you are using on the TV is HDMI 2.0 capable and not just 4K at 60HZ capable. It sounds like there may be conflicting issues. I think Virtual Super Resolution disables custom resolution so it could be that. I checked the Color management in windows display settings, and I'm pretty confused with all the profiles. (I checked on that as well though.) I've set a bunch of different resolutions in Windows Display Settings, but custom resolutions isn't supported with this TV. And obviously since the R9 390 doesn't have HDMI 2.0 support, it wouldn't work on just the HDMI. There was a color depth option in properties, and I already set that to 8, connected to the adapter, and still no luck. Sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by 8 bit coloring in Pixel Format. I'll continue to try a couple different types, but I have to keep changing and plugging the tv into the video card HDMI, then the Displayport Adapter. It can be moved down to 4:2:2, and a couple other RGB options. As for getting the pixel format, I had to move the tv out of displayport (for some reason AMD removed displayport pixel format, it just wouldn't show up when it was plugged into the adapter) but it's running at 4:4:4 YCbCr. I didn't read through the whole thread, but what I do know is that was a while ago and through this adapter is possible. What does it say in Radeon under pixel format? Cant see a lot from that screen other than it should work, as output seems to be set to 8 bit. Well it's 8 bit color, so that could be relevant, as it' may only be 4:2:0 capable. I got on the phone with TCL support and all I got was a Indian telling me I had an adapter and they didn't make the adapter so it won't work. Everything on my end seems to be fine, I just really wish I could get this fixed. It should automatically identify monitor spec but you never know. Basically, am just trying to find out if you have the right resolution and refresh rate set in display settings. Some '1.4' cables are actually high speed 18gbps cables. There's no such thing as a HDMI 2.0 cable.
